The great Bonomelli tradition dates back to 1908, when Luigi Amedeo Bonomelli started the production of liqueurs and syrups. Over the following years herbalist culture came to be increasingly appreciated and oriented toward the development of food uses, and the Center of Experimental Studies for the Drying of Chamomile was founded (1940).
Starting in 1945 construction began on the Dolzago plant, where the production of chamomile was definitively consolidated.
Today Bonomelli is a major food industry, boasting brands that are leaders in their sectors such as Thé Infré, Polenta Valsugana and Pizza Catarì.
